Cape Leveque

200 Km north of Broome is a place called Cape Leveque. It was recommended to us to drive up there and spend a night or two at the Kooljaman Resort/Campground.

The road up was sealed for 110 km and the other 90 km was unsealed and pretty rough. One of the roughest we have experienced so far if you ask me. Anyway it took us 3 hours to get to the Resort but once we arrived we saw why others were so enthusiastic about this place.
The setting was just stunning! Being on the cape meant one side of the resort had a red, rocky beach with large waves and the other side of the resort had a pretty, white sandy beach with turquoise blue water. We got a campsite right on this beach with our own beach shelter, cold outdoor shower included. It was paradise! We could even swim in the ocean here as they never ever had any crocodiles or stingers here! What more do you want!

In the evening we drove to the other beach to watch the sun set, coloring the red rocks on the coast line even brighter than they already were.

It is unnecessary to say we stayed for another day obviously! Why leave paradise so soon.
