Day 85 Cardwell to Big Crystal Creek

After another night of rain it was nice to wake up with a little bit of sunshine this morning.

It wasn't far to Cardwell and upon arrival we visited their beautiful Information Center. Most definitely one of the best Info Centers we have seen so far.

We had a stroll along the beach and the Jetty and we just enjoyed the sunshine.

Around lunchtime we visited the arrived at the coastal town of Lucinda, well known for its cane sugar industry. It had a 5.7 km long jetty that is used for transporting sugar onto boats.

From far up north we have been driving along sugar cane fields upon sugar cane fields. This area is well known for its fresh grown produce and it was nice to pick up some fresh fruit from the fruit stalls along the way.

That night we decided to camp at Big Crystal Creek Campground. After setting up camp we had a walk to the crystal clear swimming hole that is well known in this area.

The toilet was home to toilet-roll-hiding-spiders who loved to give innocent tourist a scare!
