We were up early again and after breakfast Monique didn’t
want to leave paradise just yet. So we went for a walk along the beach. In the
distance we saw beautiful red cliffs along the beach so we walked all the way
to see them from nearby. There was no single soul around as far as you could
see, making the place even more special. It felt like being on a deserted
island. We hung around for a bit enjoying the view and having a splash around in
the ocean. We only stayed in the very shallow water as we’d just spotted a
shark nearby.
When it was time to face reality we drove back (again
without any problems) to the homestead and got rid of the red dust in their
naturally heated hot tub. The water is actually very, very hot so the cold
shower was much more enjoyable afterwards.
We adjusted the tire pressure at the station and drove back
to Denham, having a short stop at the Little Lagoon. Very pretty, but again
infested with stone fish so no swimming for us unfortunately.
From Denham it was a very boring drive back to the highway
(it’s the same way back). And from there we headed south towards Kalbarri.
Again the drive was pretty boring but we couldn’t help noticing something we
hadn’t see much for a while…trees! It was nice to see the landscape becoming a
bit greener!
That night we camped for free at Nerren Nerren Rest Area
amongst some other travellers.
