After our 3 day break it was time to move on. Our next destination was Litchfield National Park which was just around the corner from Mt Bundy Station.
After a short stop in Batchelor for a few necessary groceries we drove into the park.
This National Park is not that big but there's a few spectacular must sees. The first one being Florence Falls where we admired the view from the lookout and then walked down to the base of the falls for a refreshing swim (unfortunately it was a bit crowded with other tourists).
Next stop was Buley Rockpool, which was very cool. There were heaps of little pools and waterfalls to enjoy. We just moved from one pool to the other and enjoyed it thoroughly.
At the end of the afternoon we drove to Tolmer Falls, the highest falls of the Park, where we took the short walk to the lookout platform.
We camped at Wangi Falls that night. Sander had been to Litchfield before about 10 years ago and learned the hard way that the place was invested with mosquitoes. So this time we came prepared whit heaps of insect repellent and mozzie coils.
We were both very tired that evening and went to bed before 8.30 pm!
