We arrived in Cape Crawford early this morning. Cape Crawford wasn't more then a roadhouse.
The roadhouses in Australia are pretty amazing though. For kilometers and kilometers there is nothing and then once of a sudden you find this tiny piece of civilization. There's food, fuel, toilets, showers, a pub (of course) and often a place to camp too. And most importantly there are other people who mostly are very friendly and helpful. So was the lady behind the counter. She suggested to check out the Lost City at Caranbirini Reserve.
It meant we had to take a 140 km detour, but it worked out to be well worth it. The Lost City is a collectioin of pillar shaped rock formations. The one hour walk went straight trough the formations and sometimes we had to get through narrow crevices. Some cracks had lots of butterflies flying around which made it extra special.
That afternoon we drove back to the Heartbreak Hotel Roadhouse where we booked a campsite and spent the afternoon washing, swimming and relaxing.
