There is not much to see and do in this part of the outback so today we spent a lot of our time just driving (again). It had been more than three days since we passed through an actual town so it was nice to come across the little town of Camooweal. We were able to buy bread, something we couldn't buy and therefore not eat for the last two days (luckily we had crackers).
In Camooweal we also visited the Drovers Museum. The tour had just started so we were able to squeeze in and learned all about the drovers history. Drovers are the true outback cowboys of Australia. They mustered the cattle by horse (nowadays motorbikes are used) In the old days they had major distances to cover with their cattle. The tour guide was an old fellow that used to be a drover himself. We enjoyed every minute!
In the end it was a welcome break from driving and it made our day a little bit more interesting!
We camped next to the Barkly Highway once again.
