Ayr Sailean to Shelley Beach

Monique had read something about a Toffee Factory nearby so that was our first stop of that day. The shop was small but there was lots for sale; toffees and caramel in all sorts of different tastes, Elephant Rock Cider, home-made ice cream and heaps of chutneys and sauces. We tried a few of the samples and in the end left with some macadamia brittle and strawberry apple cider. Yum!

From here we drove a bit further towards the coast and stopped at Green pools and Elephant Rocks. We were gobsmacked with how busy it was. It looked like Scheveningen on a hot summer day! Lol! But the weather change with colder weather was just coming in and it was getting rather chilly so everybody was leaving when we were coming. Too many people, too many cars so we took some pictures and got out of there quickly!

In Denmark we did some grocery shopping and tried the famous, award winning Pies from the local bakery. They were indeed delicious!

In the late afternoon we were once again very lucky with finding a great campsite at Shelley Beach in West Cape Howe National Park. It was a small campsite but it was surprisingly quiet and we could camp right at the beach! The view was amazing and we saw dolphins and seals cruising by.
