Fitzgerald National Park to Esperance

We drove back to Hopetoun this morning to get some bread and we had a quick stop at the beachfront once again. It was much busier than it was yesterday. It turned out the local children had swimming lessons at the beach. How cool is that?!

From here we drove to Stokes Inlet. It was one of the nicer inlets we came accross. Apparently there's heaps of birds in this area but except from that we didn't feel like we had to spent too much time in this area. So from here we drove straight to Esperance although we could have stopped at a few more beaches along the way. But after kilometres of coastline you get kind of spoilt and we felt we had seen enough of that for now.

In Esperance we enjoyed lunch at a lovely little restaurant with a view over the harbour. The food was nothing fancy but the view made up for it.

In Esperance we visited a few shops and then started looking for a campsite. We were surprised about how busy Esperance still was with tourists, the campsites were way too busy to our liking. Therefore we decided to drive on to Cape le Grand National Park which was about 30 km east of Esperance.
As soon as we took the turn off towards the park there was a sign saying all campsites at the park were full. Bummer!
That meant we had to go back and pick one of the busy caravan parks in town.

We ended up staying at Bather Paradise Caravan Park. Well it was far from paradise to us but it was okay for the night.
